When you first come to Christ you want everyone to find what you found. That is your “First Love” and you are never supposed to lose it. You run into a problem. Not everyone wants it. Not everyone believes it. People come out of the woodwork to contradict you no matter what you say. It’s not your fault. Jesus said that no one can come unless the Father draws them and no one can know the Father unless the Son reveals Him to them. So, you start loving and studying your Bible. You run into another problem. It seems everyone has a different understanding than what you see. No matter what you say some “Theologian” will tell you that they know more than you and have a different doctrine. That is not your fault either. In I Corinthians 2:14 Paul explains that the natural man cannot understand spiritual things and that they have to be revealed by the Holy Spirit. I play my audio Bible in my house 24/7 instead of Radio or TV etc. The theory is “World out, Word in”. I never know when the Holy Spirit will reveal something new to me. He keeps revealing more to me and many times it changes my whole perspective on everything. I almost hate to say anything because God is always showing me where I have things wrong. But I still have my first love and want everyone else to know what I have found and the cycle begins again. I fill myself with the Word of God all the time and keep learning more but it seems futile when I have no one else to share it with. I get so spiritually lonely and sometimes I feel like Elijah did when he thought that he was the only one left. But God told him that He still had 7,000 that had not bowed the knee to Baal. I live alone in a very liberal area. I literally don’t have anyone else to talk to about Biblical things. Even the “Christians” are liberal and given to liberal understanding of things. “Christians” can be the most hateful and cruel people there are sometimes. Too many people think that God is on their side and others are just sinners and therefore they are a lower life form and therefore not worthy of common decency or respect of any kind. I have to fight this myself.
