    • FYI I used aliases on fusion to give (particularly ladies) more privacy – but, have always preferred real names as it makes it harder for unscrupulous folks to pretend/scam since you can more easily build up a picture see their friends etc. Thoughts welcome. Ed.

I prefer real first name at least. A womaniser can easily create a false identity online. Best to do what’s possible not to encourage creating false identity. Integrity is essential. I want to know who I’m dealing with. If someone has a problem sharing their name, that’s a big red flag – I’d rather those people stay away from a safe as possible Christian website. Thanks for asking

I don’t know if it too late to comment, but I think using real names is good but they shouldn’t be visible to people who aren’t members eg through being able to see the latest members profiles before you even log on. The idea of anyone (non members) being able to view my profile makes me a little uncomfortable. Thanks, Emily.

    • Hi – you can’t view the profiles if you are not a member – if you are logged out and click a profile from the homepage it will deny you access (unless I broke that unknowingly:) Thanks for your comment though.

It just shows people’s name and profile picture whilst logged out, so I suppose that’s not that much information really. I’m probably over thinking it sorry. – I alway bring up the website through the email link so perhaps that’s why I can see names before I log in I don’t know.
